In recent years, GVSU has transformed itself from a local regional college to one of the largest universities in the state. The signage needed to correspond with the university's growth and status. After conducting an extensive wayfinding analysis, we designed a completely new array of signs, including main identification signs for every building and residence hall, traffic control signs, directional signage, wall letters and apartment door numbers.

Valley City Sign suggested several color options and recommended using a navy blue as the main background color to obtain optimal readability and incorporated the school's light blue color as an accent. University officials approved the recommendation.

We also developed new signage for the university's new Pew Campus in downtown Grand Rapids, assuring that the signage there corresponds with the signage program at the main campus in Allendale.
