Because many of the buildings within the
Muskegon Public School system are older, we designed the signs to
reflect the historical architecture. We also made sure that the
signage was consistent from school to school.
|
The non-illuminated signs are constructed of aluminum
extrusions with painted and vinyl graphics. Peaked tops echo the
building architecture while muted earth tones complement the environment
and natural building materials.
|
Two of the school's existing graphic elements were
incorporated into the sign design: a graphic illustration of the clock tower at
the main office building; and the school's monogram, a large block "M," which
was used as a subtle background element behind the identifying school name.
