The Rockford Public School project included new signs for ten locations within the school system. Because the district is so spread out, the school wanted to unify the look of their signs to make them all recognizable as part of the Rockford School District.

The signs were also designed with the idea that there will be an additional high school built in the near future. The new high school would have a new color scheme and the orange color on the signs could be changed to show which elementary schools went with the new high school.

The new signs are non-illuminated with vinyl graphics. Previous to these signs however, Valley City Sign built an illuminated sign for Rockford High School and an electronic message center located at North Rockford Middle School.
