Sales Representative
Valley City Sign seeks a motivated and talented Sales Representative to join our team and help us reach our ambitious goals. The Sales Representative will develop and manage new and existing customer relationships and identify potential sales opportunities.
As a sales representative, you'll work across various industries and lead new projects by leveraging account management, organization, project management, and signage expertise. You'll work directly with customers, technical teams, and vendors to deliver an exceptional custom signage experience.
Our sales representatives roll their sleeves and take a curious approach to understand customer needs, design intent, budget, and project timelines. Growing in the position, high performers leverage their understanding of our processes and capabilities to foster customer intimacy and capture value for the customer and the company.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the signage industry.
They must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong negotiation and persuasion abilities, and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Winning business within operating guidelines and company values

Develop and demonstrate a broad knowledge of the latest techniques and technologies in the sign industry

Identify the client's specific needs and determine the best cost-effective and efficient solutions to design, build and install

Understand and execute the corporate strategy to achieve an annual sale budget

Develop, and maintain customer intimacy

Proactively conduct sales calls to our existing customer base

Develop opportunities from inbound requests, targeted key accounts, and projects

Manage projects through internal and external processes

Maintain accuracy and integrity of Salesforce, Great Plaines, and workstream data

Update relevant stakeholders or team members on a project's progress and take responsibility for results

Delegate tasks to project team members

Be responsible for personal development and sign industry knowledge

Prospecting on LinkedIn and Cold-Calling

Tracking and reporting key metrics

Communicating needs to all applicable departments

Understand and follow company procedures

Prepare documents, proposals, and presentations as required

Locate the placement of signs

Coordinate with the client on their obligations and responsibilities

Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction
REQUIREMENTS:

BA degree and or 3 years of related experience and training

Highly motivated and target driven

Custom service aptitude

Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite

Familiarity with Salesforce or experience working with similar CRM platforms
