Valley City Sign seeks a full-time experienced Sign Paint Sprayer to join their team. The Sign Paint Sprayer will be responsible for preparing and mixing paint formulas, spraying, and finishing a variety of signs using high-quality paint and materials. The ideal candidate should have two years of experience painting signs or spraying automotive applications, be organized, and have an eye for detail. We place a premium on a good attitude and willingness to learn. We will mentor and train the right candidate.
 
WHAT DO WE DO?
As a premier west Michigan-based sign company, we build all types of Signs! We use aluminum, steel, plastics, paints, and all substrates to create our products. Our customers include banks, car washes, municipalities, large corporations, hospitals, schools and universities, casinos, sports teams, and many local businesses. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Preparing signs for painting, including sanding, masking, taping, and cleaning

• Mixing paint to the correct color and viscosity

• Spraying signs with high-quality paint and materials

• Finishing signs to a high standard

• Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the work area

• Troubleshooting any issues with sign painting 

• Monitor and inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality standards 

• Work with team members to ensure on-time completion of projects 

• Maintain a safe and organized work environment 

• Follow all safety procedures and regulations 

 
REQUIREMENTS:

• At least two years of experience spraying in the sign or automotive industry 

• Knowledge of different types of paint and materials 

• Ability to mix paint to the correct color and viscosity

• Attention to detail and a high-quality standard of work 

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently

• Good communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work with various tools and equipment

• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• High school diploma or equivalent 

• Active Listening

• Good organizational skills

• Knowledge of hand tools 

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
