Valley City Sign seeks a full-time Wiring Specialist to join our manufacturing team. The Sign Wiring Specialist at Valley City Sign is responsible for installing and wiring electrical components for signs. This includes running LED patterns, wiring signs, components, and connecting power supplies. A successful candidate will have 1-2 years of experience using wiring components. We place a premium on a good attitude and willingness to learn. We will mentor and train the right candidate.
 
WHAT DO WE DO?
As a premier west Michigan-based sign company, we build all types of Signs! We use aluminum, steel, plastics, paints, and all substrates to create our products. Our customers include banks, car washes, municipalities, large corporations, hospitals, schools and universities, casinos, sports teams, and many local businesses. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: ​

• Install and wire electrical components for signs ​

• Layout LEDs, wiring, and connect to power sources 

• Ensure signs meet safety, quality, and code requirements 

• Troubleshoot any electrical issues 

• Test all wiring and components for proper operation 

• Wiring LEDs to various sign components according to design specifications

• Monitor and inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality standards

• Work with team members to ensure on-time completion of projects

• Maintain a safe and organized work environment

• Follow all safety procedures and regulations

 
REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics 

• Knowledge of electrical wiring codes and requirements 

• Ability to work with various tools and equipment 

• Knowledge of safety protocols 

• Ability to work in a team environment

• High school diploma or equivalent 

• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
